Practical, non-medical household support for seniors across Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Will counties.
Practical Help at Home
WAF Senior Services combines two forms of practical, non-medical support: meals prepared according to a senior's dietary needs and preferences, and light housekeeping that helps maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
These services can make everyday life at home easier while keeping the support centered on the person. Families can talk with WAF about both the household help they are seeking and the caregiver match that may feel right.

WAF helps seniors with meals and a comfortable living environment while respecting individual needs and preferences.
Meals are prepared according to the senior's dietary needs and preferences.
Light housekeeping helps maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Tell WAF about the senior's dietary needs and preferences, the household support the family is seeking, and any preferences that may matter for caregiver matching. The care-needs assessment gives the family and WAF a clear place to discuss the request before care begins.
Getting Started
WAF uses a four-step process to understand the senior's needs and look for a suitable caregiver match.
The family contacts WAF to discuss the meal preparation and light housekeeping support they are seeking.
WAF learns about the senior's needs and the family's preferences before moving forward.
WAF considers care needs, personality, and family preferences when matching a caregiver.
Care begins when the schedule and a suitable caregiver are available.
Timing is individual. Scheduling and the start of care depend on the person's needs and caregiver availability. WAF does not promise a fixed start time or guaranteed availability.
Prepared and Supported
WAF background-checks caregivers and matches them based on care needs, personality, and family preferences. Caregivers receive orientation, care-plan instructions, office check-ins, competency checks, and required state training.
With the client's permission, WAF may conduct an occasional in-home check-in to make sure care is running well.
If a caregiver match is not working, the family may request a different caregiver. WAF will work on another match based on caregiver availability.
WAF Senior Services is IDPH Licensed and provides non-medical in-home senior care. These services are not skilled nursing or medical treatment.
