Practical Help Beyond the Home
Non-medical support for seniors across Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Will counties.
Everyday Plans and Essentials
WAF Senior Services combines two forms of practical, non-medical help: transportation to appointments, activities, and social events, together with assistance for shopping, pharmacy pickups, and other essential errands.
Families can explain the destination or errand they have in mind, the requested timing, and the senior's care needs. WAF then uses its consultation and assessment process to determine whether the request fits its services.

Tell WAF the destination or essential errand, the day and time requested, the senior's care needs, and any personality or family preferences that may matter for caregiver matching.

Getting Started
WAF uses a four-step process to understand the senior's needs and look for a suitable caregiver match.
The family contacts WAF to describe the transportation or errand assistance they are seeking.
WAF learns about the senior's needs, the specific request, and the family's preferences.
WAF considers care needs, personality, and family preferences when matching a caregiver.
Care begins when the schedule and a suitable caregiver are available.
Timing is individual. Scheduling and the start of care depend on the person's needs and caregiver availability. WAF does not promise a fixed start time, same-day service, or guaranteed availability.
Prepared and Supported
WAF background-checks caregivers and matches them based on care needs, personality, and family preferences. Caregivers receive orientation, care-plan instructions, office check-ins, competency checks, and required state training.
With the client's permission, WAF may conduct an occasional in-home check-in to make sure care is running well.
If a caregiver match is not working, the family may request a different caregiver. WAF will work on another match based on caregiver availability.
WAF Senior Services is IDPH Licensed and provides non-medical in-home senior care. This is not skilled nursing, medical treatment, or specialized medical transportation.
